NIVIAALUK BRANDT - Fort Lewis College, CO - Niviaaluk is working toward a bachelor’s in biochemistry.  She is on a path to become a psychiatrist, with a special focus on children with special needs and people in recovery.  She plans to incorporate Inupiaq traditional values in a wellness practice that helps fill the gap in care in northwest Alaska.

KELLY HENSLEY - Hopkinsville Community College, KY - Kelly is working toward an Associate’s degree with a focus on training to become a medical assistant.  She hopes to one day share her story and knowledge through motivational speaking.

PEARL IBEANUSI - University of California Santa Cruz, California - Pearl is completing her bachelor’s in Community Studies.  As a college student, she has worked on low income housing/homelessness issues.  She aims to use her education to watchdog and advocate for equitable access to resources for underserved and low-income communities.  She hopes to pursue graduate education in organizational leadership.

ALEJANDRA MEDINA - Texas State University, Texas - Alejandra is completing a bachelor’s degree in physics.  She hopes eventually to earn a doctorate in physics.  She applies her skills broadly, as a researcher, an activist for low income causes, and a thinker about the connectedness of the spiritual and physical worlds.

CHEYENNE ROGERS - University of Connecticut Law School, CT - Cheyenne is pursuing a law degree so that she can represent children impacted by the child welfare system.  Her own lived experience in foster care and as a teenage mother will inform her legal advocacy for people encountering similar circumstances and navigating related institutions.
